This policy applies to tuition and fees paid to SOMATH (legally School of Math). If your enrollment agreement has terms that differ from what's below, the enrollment agreement controls.

Free evaluation

The 30-minute evaluation is free. There's nothing to charge and nothing to refund. If we ever ask you to pay for an evaluation, treat that as a mistake and tell us.

Trial / first paid session

Sometimes a family pays for a single class or short trial before committing to a full term. If your child attends that first paid session and we collectively decide SOMATH isn't the right fit, you can ask us in writing within seven days for a full refund of that first session.

Term-based tuition

Most of our classes run on five-month semesters or shorter test-prep terms. For tuition paid in advance for one of those terms:

• Before the term begins: full refund. Just let us know in writing before the first class meets.
• Within the first two weeks of the term: a pro-rated refund of the unused tuition, calculated from the date of your written withdrawal notice.
• After the first two weeks: tuition is non-refundable, except in cases of documented medical issues or a family emergency. In those cases, please reach out — we work with families on a case-by-case basis.

Registration fees and one-time setup charges (if any) are non-refundable once the term has begun.

Class cancellations by SOMATH

Occasionally we need to cancel a class for weather, illness, or other reasons outside our control. When that happens:

• We'll always try to reschedule the class within the term.
• If we can't reschedule, that session is credited to your account or refunded, your choice.
• If we cancel a full program before it begins, you'll receive a full refund of any tuition paid for that program.

How to request a refund

Email hello@schoolofmath.us with:

• The student's name and the program they're enrolled in
• The reason for the request (you don't need to overshare — a sentence is fine)
• Any dates that matter (last class attended, date of withdrawal, etc.)

We'll confirm receipt within two business days and, in most cases, process approved refunds within fourteen business days of confirmation.

How refunds are returned

Refunds are returned to the original method of payment whenever possible. If a card has expired or an account has closed since you paid us, we'll work with you to find another way to get the money back to you.
